June 23, 1966— March 12, 2026
Mosinee, WI
Sharon K. Willfahrt, 59, of Mosinee, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2026, with her husband by her side at their home.
Born on June 23, 1966, Sharon was the daughter of Norman and Joyce (Oestreich) Saxby. She graduated from Merrill High School and went on to earn an Associate’s degree in Nursing from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau. She began her career as a long-term care nurse before moving into nursing management, most recently serving as an MDS Coordinator and Infection Control Manager. Her caring nature, bright spirit, and kind heart left a lasting impression on every resident she served.
Sharon married Eugene Willfahrt on June 2, 2018. She found deep joy in gardening, baking Christmas cookies and candy, playing canasta and cribbage, working on puzzles, and reading by candlelight in the evenings. She loved to crochet and often gave handmade blankets to family and friends. Above all, Sharon cherished her role as a grandmother. Watching her grandchildren play on the slide, pushing them on the swing, and seeing them run through the yard brought her the greatest happiness.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene; her children, Josh (Tia) Daley and Niki (Troy) Knight; her stepchildren, Kraig (Lisa) Willfahrt, Jackie (Mark) Willfahrt, and Kandie (Scott) Schmidt; her grandchildren, Elijah, Delilah, Sawyer, Kaitlin, Ashley, Christian, Savannah, Draven, Rhianna, August, and Bennett; her mother, Joyce (Roy) Saxby; her sister, Deb Saxby; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Saxby; her sister-in-law, Julie Willfahrt; and her brothers-in-law, Mark Willfahrt and Denny Willfahrt.
