Sharon K. Brown

Sharon K. Brown, 84, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life March 14, 2026, at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Sharon was born August 3, 1941, to Wayne and Kathryn Hiatt in Lafayette, Indiana. Sharon had 4 children, Michael Brown, Debbie (Mark) Sipes, Faith Walker, and Scott (Michele) Brown; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jack in 2025; and her daughter, Faith Walker in 2026.Sharon worked at Dolly Madison Bakery for 24 years until her retirement in 2001. She enjoyed taking trips with friends, walking at the mall, playing Bingo, and spending time with family, especially at the river. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Pastor Luke Maggard will officiate. The funeral service will live stream at barkesweaverglick.com. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 12 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Sharon will be laid to rest at the Garland Brook Mausoleum.
