Sharon Naysmith ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, Craven Chapel on Mar. 8, 2026.Sharon Joan "Sherry" (Pugh) Naysmith, age 80, of Mount Gilead, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 5th, 2026.Sherry was born on April 13th, 1945, in Racine, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Harold D. and Helen (Fifer) Pugh.Sherry married Archie Naysmith, a childhood friend, in 1969. They were married for 55 years. She was a homemaker for 15 years and enjoyed acts of service such as: volunteering at the Children's Home, playing piano at the Nursing Home, and sharing her love of art with children at the library. In 1996, she started a business, The Sharing House, which started as a gift shop and transitioned into a custom framing store; she had the store for 10 years. She then moved to Omaha to join Archie who had accepted a job there and worked as an Activities Planner for a Senior Care Center. Sherry was an artist and had reproduction prints made of several of her paintings. She enjoyed sharing copies with others. For years she enjoyed attending Christian Churches and attended many different denominations. In her later years, she enjoyed making little goodies and sharing them with first responders. She also loved Collies and wildlife and had a little fox friend for several years.Sherry is survived by her daughters Bronwyn Naysmith (Steve) Ida & Autumn Naysmith; and her sons Archibald Matthew Naysmith and David (Jessica) Naysmith; grandchildren Elizabeth & Alexander Ida, and Talon & Evelyn Naysmith; sister, Susan Pugh Rankin.A graveside inurnment will take place at a later date at River Cliff Union Cemetery.Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead are honored to have been chosen to serve Sherry's family.
