Sharon Elaine "Sheri" Wright, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on March 4, 2026, in Austin, Texas, after a short battle with cancer. Born on August 5, 1945, in Lake Jackson, Texas, Sheri lived a life rooted in her deep Christian faith, her profound love for family, and the genuine joy she found in everyday moments.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Nell Anderson, and her husband, Benjamin Fort Wright III, Sheri is survived by her sister, Carol Joersz and husband Eldon, and her brother, John A. Anderson and wife Patricia. She leaves behind her children, Rachelle Lilljedahl and husband Rich, Monica Wiersma-Plott and husband John, Benjamin Wright IV and wife Kelli, and Cassandra Wright and husband Robert Gabriel. Her adoring grandchildren include Derek Wiersma, Ryan Wiersma, Madalyn Lilljedahl, Zane Lilljedahl, Alyssa Wright, Benjamin Wright V, Camryn Wright, Jolie Gabriel, and Alexa Wright. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Addison Wiersma, Anya Wiersma, Noah Wiersma, Harper Wiersma, and Zaylah Lilljedahl.

Sheri’s early years in Laredo shaped her nurturing spirit and steadfast dedication to family and community. Her six-decade marriage to Benjie created a warm and welcoming home where holidays, birthdays, and milestones were celebrated with shared meals, laughter, and love across generations. A comforting presence to those in need, she offered wise counsel and quiet strength within her church and community. She found delight in reading, cooking, sewing, painting, gardening, singing, and playing the piano. Her annual beach trips with family created treasured memories, and she was known for her playful spirit, especially when bending the rules of any game to her advantage.

Those who knew Sheri will remember her kind heart, gentle wisdom, and the enduring love she poured into her family. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were privileged to know her.
