Sharon Neubauer ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Macken Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Mar. 6, 2026.Sharon Ann Neubauer, 83, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home Friday March 6, 2026.Sharon was born June 13, 1942 in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to Edwin and Mary (Schmalen) Draman. In 1961 she graduated from Emmetsburg Catholic High School where she was an avid 4-H youth receiving many recognitions in local and regional fairs for her livestock, gardening, sewing, and baking skills.On June 6, 1965, Sharon married Donald William Neubauer of Rochester, Minnesota and the beginning of a marriage of nearly six decades until his passing in December 2024. The couple lived their entire married lives in Rochester and were long time members of Bethel Lutheran Church.Sharon received her nursing degree from St. Mary's School of Practical Nursing in Rochester and spent 38-years practicing within the Mayo Clinic system.Sharon was an avid gardener, seamstress, and baker throughout her life showering herself and her family with her many tasty and beautiful creations. In her younger years she spent many summer days enjoying the outdoors with her husband, kids, and grandkids fishing, swimming, camping, and just helping them to grow in life. In her later years enjoyment came from watching great-grandchildren and the many exploratory adventures they experienced in their early years.Sharon is survived by her sons Gary (Joan) of Troy, Ohio and Jon of Saginaw, Minnesota, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Audrey Bullerman of Waterloo, Iowa. She was proceeded in death by her husband Donald and her parents Edwin and Mary.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday April 25, 2026, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home Rochester. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the memorial service. A private graveside burial service will occur at Bear Creek Cemetery in Grand Meadow, Minnesota.Sharon's family wishes to pass along their deepest appreciation to the Mayo Clinic Eisenberg Outpatient Dialysis Unit for the compassionate care they provided her over many years.Memorials are preferred to Bethel Lutheran Church Music Department and the Iowa 4-H Foundation.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
