Sharon Ann Donovan

Sharon Ann Donovan of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the age of 69. Born in Red Bank, she grew up in Middletown and graduated from Mater Dei High School in the Class of 1974. She spent her career as a tax assessor’s assistant in Middletown until her retirement.

Sharon was an exceptional cook, beloved by many for her Irish soda bread. She was a talented crafter who found joy in gardening, especially her hydrangeas and peonies. She loved watching English mysteries, reading mystery novels from her lounge chair with her sun visor on and a glass of iced tea with lemon in hand. She cherished her trips to Cape May and Disney with her daughter and treasured gatherings with friends and family at local restaurants.

Known for her kindness, generosity, and wonderful sense of humor, Sharon will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was the daughter of the late Ann and Michael Lovett of Middletown and was predeceased by her brother, Michael Lovett. Sharon is survived by her devoted daughter, Kristina Donovan; her sister, Noreen Naccari, and her husband, Michael; her brother, Gregory Lovett, and his wife, Lynn; and her beloved nieces, Hannah Naccari, Jennifer Lovett, and Jacqueline Greenberg, along with Jacqueline’s husband Evan and their newborn son, Hy Shawn.
