Shantel Tyler-Denny ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Fisher Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Logansport on Mar. 14, 2026.It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Shantel LaShay Tyler-Denny on March 12, 2026, at IU Arnet in Lafayette, Indiana, surrounded by her children and a few of her close, loving, family members. Her cancer diagnosis was sudden and unexpected, and her loss has left many heartbroken. Shantel was only 32 years old.She was born July 8, 1993, in Logansport, Indiana to Robyn Denny and David Tyler. She graduated from Logansport High School in 2012 and was working at Camelot Care Center in Logansport as a QMA. She loved those residents/children and took great pride in the care she provided them. It hurt her heart every time one of them gained their wings.Shantel's children, son Amani, daughters Avayah and Ariah and their fur baby, Millie, were the center of her world. She loved them dearly and was so proud of them. As a single mom, she did everything she could to provide, support, and love her kids. She was very stubborn and independent and made sure her children wanted for nothing all by herself. She would never ask anyone for help and provided for her children clear to the very end of her life. She will be remembered for her strength, her love for her close family and friends, and the impact she had on those around her. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, when you could get her out of the house and away from her children. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for the ones she loved. Everyone who knew Shantel, knew what a sense of humor she had and how incredibly funny she was.Shantel had a very large extended family. She is survived on her maternal side by her mother, Robyn Sweedman; grandma, Jan Denny; brother, Cody Denny (Shalee, Jerry, B, and Mackenna), nephews Colten Long and Royce Denny; Aunt Rhonda and Uncle George Hauck; cousins Aaron Denny (Erika, Angel, Denzel, Dario, and Diego); Jerry Denny (Brit, Ruth); Aunt Jean Denny (Rick, Lisa, Budd, Rita and families); and Uncle Mike Crippen (Glenda, Christopher, Kevin and families); great aunts, great uncles, and cousins on the Denny side. She was proceeded in death by her beloved grandpa, Tom Denny. She is survived on her paternal side by her father, David Tyler; sister, Jacqueline Levine (Zachary), nieces Daisha and Kylah both of whom she loved as her own; and siblings Teressa Tyler, Bryan Fitchpatrick, David Levine, Lucasbre Tyler, Anthony Washington, Dontay Washington, Jacob Irwin, and Alicia Allen; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her grandparents Roland and Dozie Tyler and brother, Jason Levine. She is also greatly missed by her childhood friend, Tykeisha Yeagley, her entire Camelot Care family, and many more friends' Shantel's life touched. We are asking in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to help support her children. Any money collected will go directly into an account created strictly for the children to help support them moving forward. Any contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated. Please continue to keep her children and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time.A viewing will be held from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, March18, in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
