January 6, 1969— March 15, 2026
Chatsworth, GA
Shannon Lynn Maddron, 57, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on March 15, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on January 6, 1969, in Chatsworth, Shannon spent his entire life in the community where he built a home, raised a family, and created a legacy rooted in hard work and quiet devotion.
For many years, Shannon worked as an owner-operator tanker truck driver. He took great pride in his profession and approached it with the same steadfast commitment he brought to everything in life. When he was home, he found joy in working on cars and mechanical projects. His garage was often filled with tools and half-finished restorations, including a beloved old black 1972 Chevrolet truck affectionately known as “Blackie,” which became the backdrop for countless childhood adventures.
Shannon was a man of strong will and a sometimes short temper, yet those closest to him knew the depth of his heart. He expressed his love through action—by providing for his family, dropping everything to help those he cared about, and always ensuring they were taken care of. Above all, he cherished his roles as husband, father, Papaw, and PopPop. His greatest happiness came from time spent with his wife and children and watching his grandchildren grow.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Maddron, whom he married on January 6, 1997; his children, Chelsea (Adam) Heasley, Cody (Mary) Maddron, Trevor (Mallori) Maddron, Kristy (Steve) Millsaps, Jaxson Millsaps, and Jhana Millsaps; his grandchildren, Zoey, Easton, Braxtin, Braxton, Teagan, Mabry, and Samuel; his mother, Janice Maddron; his sister, Starr (Jeff) Cochren; brother-in-law Steve Chambers; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a loving church family. He was preceded in death by his father, Winfrey Maddron; his grandparents, Austin and Pauline Ogle; his sister-in-law, Diana Chambers; and dear friends Jerry Caswell and others.
