Selma Diane Mathis 68 of Tuckasegee passed away peacefully March 17, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.
Diane was born in Tuckasegee, NC to Pete and Jean Jones. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Doug Mathis and her children, Kenny Mathis (Brittany) and Karie Mathis; and her two grandchildren Hunter and Jessie Mathis , who brought her great joy. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Jean Jones and sister Beverly Bryson.
Burial will be at Balsam Grove Cemetery on March 18, 2026 at 2:00pm.
