He was a devoted father, Poppy, Grandpa, a cherished family member, and a dear friend to many. Born on 10/28/1952 in Prestonsburg, KY. Scotty lived a life defined by kindness, strength, and dedication to his family. He worked as a coal miner and was known for his hard work, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. Above all, he was a loving father who deeply cared for his children and family. His guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love will remain in our hearts forever. He enjoyed carpentry, riding motorcycles, music and he touched many lives with his warmth and compassion. He is survived by his beloved Levita Walters, his children Krystal Leigh Sterling (Sean) & Norman Scott Howell (Danielle), his grandchildren Savannah Bowens (Nathan), McKinley Webb (Hope), Meghan Sterling, Grant Sterling, Cadence Howell, Melody Howell, Emmersyn Howell, Aiden Ryan, Victoria Ryan, Sylvia Ryan , Sarah Vanover & his great grandchildren Kealeigh Webb & Natalie Bowens, his siblings Glenna "Kay" Click, Wendall Howell (Tuenica) & Thomas "Tom" Howell (Leslie), who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him. He was preceded in death by his parents John Scott Howell & Anna Belle Howell, Brother John Ed Howell, and his brother-in-law Monroe Click.Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 6pm and all day Wednesday starting at 10am at the funeral home.Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 11am at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Prestonsburg, Kentucky.Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate his life and honor his memory. Though he is no longer with us, his love, lessons and legacy will live on in all who knew him. Rest in peace, Dad.
