Scott Mitchell Yaffee was born on March 30, 1964, and passed away on March 7, 2026. He was the son of the late Michael and Susan Yaffee. Over the years he lived in New York, New Jersey, and Delaware, but spent most of his life in the Atlanta area.

A creative and talented artist from childhood, Scott became well known in the horror community for his work as both an actor and a makeup and special effects artist at Netherworld, Folklore, and Containment Haunted Houses. He appeared in the first season of The Walking Dead as well as the films Zombieland, Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, The Blind Side, Due Date, Nightlight, Big Momma’s House 3, and The Godd Couple. He was also an accomplished photographer who drew, painted, created digital art, made jewelry, and played the keyboard. A voracious reader and passionate music collector, he spent many weekends as a teenager performing in the cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Silver Screen theater in Atlanta.

Scott graduated from Dunwoody High School and attended the University of Georgia and the University of Delaware. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Susan Yaffee, his grandparents Paul and Hannah Mann and Louis and Molly Yaffee, and his beloved cats Marcel and Delaine. He is survived by his sister Jennifer Yaffee, his best friend Amy Goodman Abramson and her husband Gary, his nephew Noah Abramson, and his cat Jazz. The family is deeply grateful to his devoted friends and caregivers Ashley Harris and Tracy Traver for the loving support they provided to Scott and to all of them during his final days.
