Scott Allen Thimmes

Scott Allen Thimmes, age 56, passed away on March 7, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on October 6, 1969, to Robert and Barbara Thimmes, Scott was lovingly raised by Nancy Thimmes after his mother’s passing. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1988 and spent the next 34 years as a dedicated employee of Cornerstone Glass, where his strong work ethic, loyalty, and warm personality helped him form lasting friendships.

Above all, Scott cherished time with his family. He shared a special bond with many loved ones and especially treasured the sister-like relationship he had with Darlene. He found great joy in holiday gatherings, sailing, watching football, and simply being present with those he loved.

A devoted sports fan, Scott was a longtime season ticket holder for the Toledo Rockets football and basketball teams and rarely missed a game. He was also a loyal San Francisco 49ers supporter. In his quieter moments, he expressed his appreciation for life’s beauty through photography, capturing family gatherings, gardens, and airshows in images that will be treasured for years to come.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara Thimmes; his brother, Michael; his niece, Nicole; his Aunt Bonnie Caris; and many other beloved family members. He is survived by his brother, Charles; his sister, Susan; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

Scott will be remembered for his loyalty, kindness, deep love of family, and the gentle way he noticed and preserved the beauty around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
