Preserve forever →Scott Alan Schinler
November 1, 1963— March 8, 2026
East Troy, WI
Scott Alan Schinler, known for his outgoing personality, love of sports, and deep appreciation for every extra day life gave him, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 8, 2026, at the age of 62. A resident of East Troy, Wisconsin, and formerly of Marengo, Illinois, Scott was born on November 1, 1963, to Raymond and Laline Schinler.
Throughout his life, Scott faced significant health challenges and underwent multiple transplants, yet he remained profoundly grateful for the gift of additional years with those he loved. He never took his time for granted and held deep thanks for the donors and medical teams who made his extended life possible. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he played many sports as a child, coached as a young adult, and became a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, LA Lakers, and Michigan State Spartans. An avid bowler, he competed in leagues wherever he lived, participated in numerous tournaments, and was a longtime member of the Amateur Bowlers Tour.
Scott spent many years in the grocery industry, most notably as a valued employee of Dominick’s Finer Foods, where he took on various roles and formed many lasting friendships. Outgoing by nature, he always enjoyed stopping to chat with customers. To much of his family, he was affectionately known simply as “Unc.”
Scott is survived by his siblings, Marcia Dobslaf and Raymond Schinler; his loving nieces and nephews, Deanne, Dustin, Beth, Terry, Michael, and Steven; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly. He also found great comfort and companionship in his beloved dog, Teddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Laline Schinler; his sisters, Pam Wyman and Barb Sanders; his brothers-in-law, Jim Wyman and Tim Dobslaf; and his niece, Ashlee. His family finds comfort in knowing he is now reunited in Heaven with his parents and loved ones who went before him.
