Scott Peters ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Rochette Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Mar. 17, 2026.Scott Peters, 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Hudson, New Hampshire, on March 14, 2026.Born on January 12, 1952, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Scott was the son of the late Dwight and Arlene (Coutermarsh) Peters. After the passing of his mother when he was just six years old, he was lovingly raised by his stepmother, Eleanor Peters.Scott was educated in the Nashua school system and remained a lifelong resident of the Nashua and Hudson area. He shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Patricia "Patti" (Burns) Peters. High school sweethearts, their marriage was built on love, devotion, laughter, and an unbreakable bond of friendship.A hardworking and dedicated man, Scott took immense pride in his work and providing for his family. Early in his career he served in the Navy at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River Maryland. He later became the owner and contractor of Ridge Top Homes, where his craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in every home he built. Over the years, Scott also worked as a tractor-trailer driver, began his butcher career at Nashua Beef, served as a meat manager at Market Basket, and worked as a meat cutter at the Nashua Costco for 14 years. Later, he returned to construction, partnering with his son Adam to form Specialty Sidings LLC, performing warranty repair work for Hardy Plank.Scott was known for his kind and generous spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and give his time to others. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren. They meant everything to him.He enjoyed time at the beach, riding motorcycles, golfing, fishing, boating, visiting the casino, and playing cards with his in-laws on Saturday nights. Scott loved bringing people together and was a natural host, often welcoming family and friends into his home for gatherings and pool parties. On family vacations, his cottage was always the heart of where everyone gathered. He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the way he made everyone feel special.In addition to his loving wife, Patti, Scott is survived by his children: Adam Peters and his girlfriend, Carin Shaw, of Hudson; Travis Peters and his wife, Lyn'ah, of Hudson; and Brooke (Peters) Hebert and her husband, Bryon, of Nashua. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Madeline, Benjamin, Amelia, Evelyn, Travis II, and Gage.He is also survived by his brother, Gary Peters and his wife, Noella; his sister, Lorrie Poirier and her husband, Normand; his stepbrothers, Nicolas Moraros and his wife, Cammy, and Martin Moraros; his brothers-in-law, David Burns and his wife, Joanne, and Donald Burns and his wife, Cheryl; and his sister-in-law, Pammy Gannon and her husband, Ed. As well as many cousins, nephews and nieces.SERVICESFamily and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Rochette Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua NH.A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Family and friends are asked to gather beginning at 10:30 AM.
