He was predeceased by: his father Bruce E. Lightner; and his son Chance Lightner. He is survived by: his wife Amanda A. Lightner (Krebs); his mother Carole E. Lightner (Gingerich); his daughter Natalie Lightner; his sisters, Christine Rotz and Sharon Dunmeyer (Steve); his siblings' children, Roxanne Steiner (Jordan), Tyler Rotz, Chandler Lightner, Alex Dunmeyer and Madison Dunmeyer; his great-nephew Farin Rotz; and his pet Buttercup. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Salem Christian Church (24 Franklin St, Jacobus, PA 17407). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
