Sarah Perez ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory - Roswell on Mar. 5, 2026.Sarah Vigil PerezA loving wife, mother and grandmother joined her beloved husband in Heaven surrounded by her loving children on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.On December 2, 1940, Sarah was born in Roswell, N.M. to Pedro Vigil and Estrelia Carrillo Vigil. She was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. John's Catholic Church.Sarah married the love of her life Róman on March 21st, 1971. They were married for 50 years until his passing.She worked for TMC & Longhorn Manufacturing Co. Sarah enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards, bingo and going to the Casino. She loved watching and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.Sarah is survived by her children: Raymond and wife Rita, Jerry, Edward and wife Imelda, Johnnie, Geneva and husband Frank, Cindy and Husband Ralph, Angela and husband Raul, Randy and wife Rosa, Andy and wife Maria. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Sarah is also survived by her brothers Robert and Felix Vigil and sisters Viola Vigil and Mary Vital.Sarah is preceded in death by her husband Róman, her parents, Pedro and Estrelia Vigil, brothers Pablo and Pedro Vigil Jr, and sister, Emma Vigil Baiza. Her sons Anthony Lucero and Ronnie Herrera. Granddaughters, Mia Rai and Ava Marie Lucero and 4 Grandsons.Please Join Sarah's Family on Tuesday, March 10th at 10:30 a.m. for the Rosary and 11:00 a.m. for the Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church in Roswell, N.M. as they bid farewell. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter Columbarium. There will be a reception to follow at Beginnings located at 3908 SE Main St. Roswell, N.M. 88203.Her family would like to thank the ICU Staff at ENMMC, Interim Home Health/Hospice for their care and compassion, and all of the family and friends who have been there to love and support us in the last few weeks.Sarah will forever be remembered for her kindness and love she always gave.To my children,I gave you the best parts of me- my love, my prayers, my sacrifices, and my sleepless nights. I wasn't perfect, but every choice I made was driven by one dream; to see you safe, happy, and strong in a world that isn't always kind. If love could be armor, mine would protect you forever. If prayers could build wings, mind would help you fly higher than fear. You are my miracles, my strength, and my proudest story. My heart beats in everything you become.
