Sarah Levon Jones

Sarah L. Jones, 88, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife of 57 years to the late Louis E. Jones, Sarah was a loving mother and grandmother whose warm smile and generous spirit touched everyone she met. She found great joy in cooking for her family and remained steadfast in her dedication to Mt. Zion Baptist Church throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by one child, Lynette Franklin. Sarah is survived by her six children: Sharon Higgins, Deborah Jones, Laquetta Guess and her husband Laurence, Louis Jones Jr. and his wife Crystal, Theresa Bryant, and Clarence Jones and his wife Candace. She also leaves behind her sister, Dora McGowan, along with many grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss her.
