Davison, MI
Sarah Elizabeth Tye of Davison, age 34, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Hurley Medical Center.
Born in Houston, Texas, on March 21, 1991, Sarah was the daughter of James and Vicky (Ex) Tye. She spent most of her life in Davison, graduating from International Academy Flint and later attending Michigan State University. A talented musician, she played the cello with distinction, performing as a member of FIM and traveling with the Flint Symphony Orchestra. Sarah found joy in running, participating in numerous Turkey Trots and Warrior Runs, as well as in quiet evenings at home solving puzzles, building with Legos, and watching movies. Above all, she cherished time spent with family and friends, especially during her favorite holiday, Christmas. She was employed by Dr. R. Bouvier, MD.
Sarah is survived by her mother, Vicky Tye; her brothers, Chris Tye, Kevin (Candace) Tye, and Zachary (Lakota) Tye; her grandmother, Marilyn Ex; her husband, Alexander Curto; and their children, Zachary, Isabella, and Connor. She leaves behind a wide circle of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James Tye; her brother, Jacob Tye; her grandfather, Duane Ex; her grandparents, Bobbie and Raymond Tye; her great-grandmother, Dorothy Ex; and her cousin, Wayne Wetherwax.
The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Dr. Bouvier for his compassionate care and to the staff of Gift of Life for their support as Sarah gave the gift of organ donation to help others.
