Porter & Sons Funeral Home - Downtown on Mar. 2, 2026.Sarah Elizabeth Furman left us on Friday, February 27, 2026 with her family by her side in Louisville, Kentucky. Sarah was born June 29, 1945 in Louisville, KY to the late George E. and Sarah N. Furman.Sarah attended Central High School in Louisville, KY. She held several custodial jobs here in the city.She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church until she got sick and was unable to attend in person.During her free time Sarah loved to go to Bingo and go on her bus trips to the casino's. Even when she was sick, she found a way to go to Bingo! She also liked to watch her Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy in the evenings. She had a passion of collecting anything that had a pig design on it.Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Terrie L. Splunge; sister, Shirley L. Mayes and brother, George W. Furman, Jr.She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Pamila D. Furman; sons, Michael E. Furman and Anthony D. Furman; brother, Joseph L. Furman, Sr. (Mary) 15 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who she really adored.Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2026 from 5-8pm at A.D. Porter & Sons Funeral Home, 1300 W. Chestnut St. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Bethel Baptist Church, 3540 Garland Avenue.
