Sara Bailey

In loving memory of Sara Bailey of Cowpens, South Carolina, who departed this world on March 8, 2026 at the age of 98. Sara leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Ransom Bailey, Sr.; and her parents, Colin C. Lowrance and Ada Hill Lowrance of Forest City, NC.. She is survived by: her children, Robert Ransom Bailey, Jr. (Tonda) of Cowpens, Colin Lowrance Bailey (Myra) of Duncan and Treva Ann Bailey Wagoner (Dillon) of Cowpens; her grandchildren, Cassidy Duggins (Les) of Spartanburg, Tres, Bailey (Laura) of Cowpens, Preston Bailey (Rachel) of Greenville, Hunter Freese (Matt) of Charlotte, Jessica Bigby (Edward) of Cowpens and J. D. Wagoner (Isabelle) of Charleston; Sara, Carol, Jo and Dee. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church (805 Cherokee Ave, Gaffney, SC 29340). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
