Sanford Hanson, of Rural, passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 62. He was born on April 6, 1963, in Waupaca to Duane and Carol (Thiel) Hanson. Sanford found great joy in hunting and fishing, especially during his cherished trips out west to hunt mule deer.
He is survived by his parents, Duane and Carol Hanson; his daughter, Erin (Gunner) Schutz; granddaughters Paisley and Sage; his sister, Linda (Meryl) Peters; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
