Sandra McCrary Tripp, 83, of Winterville, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born and raised in Staunton, Virginia, she moved to Ayden as a child. A graduate of Bob Jones University, Sandra worked at Sunshine Garden Center, Raynard, Forbes, & Clark Tobacco Market, and retired from Computerland.

She cherished returning to her childhood home in Staunton and held a special love for Ocracoke. Sandra found joy in traveling, gardening, riding the golf cart, and watching squirrels and birds. She possessed a gift for beautiful handwriting and calligraphy. A woman of deep faith, she was a longtime member of People’s Baptist Church and loved the Lord.

Sandra was a devoted and loving wife for 63 years to Mack H. Tripp, with whom she shared a profound and enduring bond. She is survived by her husband, Mack; their children, Eric Tripp (Linda) of Grimesland, Lori Hines (Linwood) and Amber Farquhar (Pat), all of Winterville; grandchildren, Linwood Hines (Lenelle), Hannah Hines (David), Jonathan Tripp, Katie Turner (Nick), Melena Tripp, and Lauren Segre (Sean); and great-grandchildren, Harlyn, Tucker, Eleanor, Ryder, Fuller, Otto, Milo, Scarlett, and Mason. She loved her family without condition, and her gentle smile brought them comfort and peace.

The family is deeply grateful for the tireless care, dedication, and friendship provided by her caregiver, Kim Haggard. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Antrim and Violet Carter.
