Sandra Mae Martin

Sandra Mae Martin, dearly loved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Norman, Oklahoma, on March 11, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on February 5, 1944, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to William and Connie (Powell) Adams, Sandra lived a life marked by love, laughter, and a genuine connection to those around her.

She dedicated much of her life to her career at the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center, where she formed deep and lasting relationships. Her warm smile and welcoming nature drew people to her, and she brought joy to colleagues and friends alike through her kindness and sincere interest in others.

Sandra was known for her playful spirit, quick wit, and talent for storytelling. A true prankster at heart, she had an infectious laugh that could light up any room. She cherished gathering with family and friends for lively games of cards, creating memories that would endure. A longtime active member of The First Assembly of God, her faith served as a cornerstone of her life, guiding her to share love and kindness with everyone she met. Above all, she took immense pride and joy in her family, who remained her greatest source of strength and fulfillment.

Sandra leaves behind her sons, Chuck Martin and Marsha of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and Carl Martin of Maysville, Oklahoma; her daughter, Connie Martin of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; her brother, Don Adams of Maysville, Oklahoma; grandchildren Nathan Martin, Camilla Degering, Corbin Martin, and Gavin Martin; and great-grandchildren Cameron Martin, Dennis Degering, and Steven Degering. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Connie Adams; her son, Kenneth Martin; her daughter, Judy Arnold; her brothers Troy Adams and Melvin Adams; her sisters Wilma Gossett, Dorothy Dawson, Bernice McCaleb, Betty Cook, and Cleta Adams; and her grandson, Douglas Summers.
