"Sandy" (Schmitt) Cheplic, age 77, of Baldwin Borough, passed away unexpectedly. Beloved daughter of the late John and Irma (Valdiserri) Schmitt; loving mother of the late Gwendolyn Sunday and Erik Sunday; sister of Cheryl L. Schmitt; also survived by cousins and her loyal Maltese, Autumn Jean and Emmett.Sandy was a devoted daughter, sister, niece and mother who was loved by all who met her. She went through more than her share of struggles, especially losing her son Erik at a young age and later her beloved daughter Gwen, but she fought through it all with a great sense of humor, a giving heart, and kindness to all. Though she will be dearly missed by her loving sister, extended family, and her treasured dogs, we are comforted to know that she and Gwen are together again.Friends received Thursday, March 19th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5636 Brownsville Road, (at 6th Street) South Park Twp.
