Sandra Miller ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery - Gadsden on Feb. 27, 2026.Sandra Kearley Miller, age 72, of Evergreen, Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026.A graveside service will be held at Crestwood Cemetery on March 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will take place prior to the service at Crestwood Funeral Home beginning at 12:00 p.m.Sandra had a deep love for life's simple joys. She especially enjoyed traveling-particularly trips to the beach-where she found peace and happiness. She had a passion for growing beautiful flowers, caring for her beloved pets, and cheering on her favorite team as a devoted University of Alabama fan. Sandra also delighted in preparing holiday meals, bringing family and friends together around her table with warmth and generosity.A dedicated educator for many years, Sandra graduated from the University of Alabama with her teaching degree and poured her heart into her work. She loved her students as if they were her own children, leaving a lasting impact on countless young lives. After retiring, she made her home in Evergreen, Alabama, where she spent her remaining years surrounded by the community she cherished.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Miller, and her parents, Carl and Prudie Kearley.She is survived by her brothers, Alvin Kearley and Greg Kearley; her stepson, Chris Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever treasure her memory.The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mark Roberts and his wonderful staff, the compassionate nurses at UAB, and Compassus Hospice for their exceptional care and support.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Oak Boys and Girls Ranch or to a charitable organization of your choice.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
