Sandra Kaye Daniel, born July 5, 1944, on her family’s farm in DeKalb, Texas, was the beloved daughter of Archie and Rachel Robinson Daniel. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Archie Daniel and James Daniel. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Warner, along with five nieces and one nephew, all of whom cherished her deeply.

Sandra grew up in DeKalb and graduated from DeKalb High School before earning her Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas State University in 1966. Dedicated to lifelong learning, she continued her education through graduate studies at East Texas State University, New Mexico State University, Northern Arizona University, Sul Ross State University, and the University of Texas at El Paso.

For 30 years, Sandra devoted her career to teaching elementary and middle school students in both Arizona and Texas. Her passion for education, her patience, and her unwavering commitment to her students left a lasting impact on countless young lives. After retiring, she settled in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she spent the last 22 years living with her sister Pat.

Sandra had a deep love for genealogy, reading, and traveling—especially when shared with her sister. Her curiosity, kindness, and spirit were constants throughout her life.

After bravely facing cancer, Sandra passed peacefully, surrounded by love and held in the hearts of family and friends who will forever remember her warmth and strength.

She will be laid to rest in DeKalb, Texas, beside her father, mother, and brother James.
