Sandra Pearson ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Iles Grandview Park Chapel on Mar. 5, 2026.Sandra Kay Pearson passed away on Tuesday, March 3 just eleven days after her 74th birthday. Sandra was born on Wednesday, February 20, 1952, to Jack and Betty Davis. Her family of 9 included three boys and four girls.Plagued by polio as a child, Sandra was never one to let that slow her down. A 1970 graduate of Saydel High School, she spent much of her life here in Iowa. Her independence to be "just a regular kid" carried her into adulthood. Her determination, and family stubborn streak created a beautiful and compassionate woman.Sandra has three children, daughters, Heather Berg (David Guttmann) and Amelia Pearson (Craig Johnson) and her only son, Theodore the second, known affectionately as Chip (Dani Leiserowitz). Throughout her life she volunteered at the various schools the kids attended as well as with Boy Scouts. When she wasn't busy with family events and holiday gatherings, Sandra taught her kids to find joy in life even when money was tight. She retired from Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield in January 2020, right before Covid hit. During her retirement she traveled with family creating many memories and supplying many laughs. Sandra was a devoted cat parent of two indoor cats, Inky and Happy and seven feral cats. Big Brother, Big Momma, Little momma, Socks, Mittens, Spot, and Glover. Mister Surly Sir, a grumpy old man was not seen, but she still mentioned him when asked about her fur babies. She spared no expense for her grandkids or her cats, a kindness that all will miss greatly by all who knew her.Sandra was preceded in death by both of her parents Jack and Betty as well as siblings Cheryl, Merilee, Cherry and Ralph. She leaves behind two daughters, a son, two grandsons, two granddaughters, three grandcats, and her two remaining brothers, Terry (Trudy Harral) Davis and Bob and Katie Davis.Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Iles Grandview Park Chapel.
