Sandra J Smith

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra J Smith (Wichita, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 6, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Billie Joe Bushnell and Mary Ellen Stice-Bushnell; her husband Dave Smith (Dave); and her sisters, Barbara Ellen Laizure and Mary Grace Smith.

She is survived by: her children, David Wayne Smith (Minda) and Diana Lynn Meister (John Meister); her close friend James Eisenhour; and her grandchildren, Jamie Seaman (Jonathan), Brian Smith (Abby), Jacob Meister, Shawn Smith and Nicholas Meister. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Resthaven Mortuary (11800 US-54, Wichita, KS 67209). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church (2209 E Pawnee St, Wichita, KS 67211). A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at the same location.
