Sandra Irene "Sandi" McVicker

Sandra Irene McVicker, known affectionately as Sandi, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on November 18, 1951, she devoted her career to caring for others as a Nursing Administrator for Wellstar MCG. Her work was a true calling, marked by a deep commitment to excellence in healthcare and a genuine compassion that touched the lives of countless patients and their families.

Colleagues respected her strong leadership and admired the kindness and determination she brought to every aspect of her role. Sandi firmly believed in the healing power of kindness, and she lived that conviction daily in her professional life.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert “Bob” McVicker, with whom she shared a loving marriage grounded in mutual respect, laughter, and steadfast support. Sandi was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Gladine Smith Newlun, who taught her the values of hard work, kindness, and integrity—qualities that defined her character and the warmth she extended to everyone around her.
