Sandra Fernandez Cobb

Memorial services for Sandra Fernandez Cobb, 85, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Grace Pointe Church in Monroe, with Pastor John Wesley Jones and Pastor Marcus Williams officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church.

Sandra was born on July 21, 1940, in Monroe, LA, and passed peacefully March 14, 2026, in her home.

Sandra was a long-time member of Grace Pointe Church. She played drums at Ouachita Parish High School and was a drum majorette while attending Northeast Louisiana State College. After college, she was a secretary for 20 years at Ford, Bacon & Davis. After leaving Ford, Bacon & Davis, she drove a school bus for Ouachita Parish until her retirement after 25 years.

Sandra loved to be outdoors fishing with her husband at every opportunity she got. She loved softball and was active as a coach for Amy’s teams.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harry Francis Fernandez and her mother, Elizabeth Ann Gibbs. She was an only child.

Sandra is survived by her daughters, Staci Ojeda of Melissa, TX and Amy Cobb of Sterlington, LA; grandchildren, Heather Frey and husband Misha of Melissa, TX, and RJ Ojeda and Faith Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; and great granddaughter, Abigail Frey.

The family would like to thank her other daughter/caregiver, Shannon Flanagan for all the love and care she showed to her other mother during the last 2 ½ years.
