Forsyth, IL

Sandra Dorsey-Marrone, 73, of Champaign, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026, in Forsyth. Born on June 18, 1952, in Canton, to Donald and Beverly (Spiva) Lehman, Sandy grew up with a warmth and generosity that would define her throughout her life. She worked for more than 20 years at Carle Foundation Hospital and clinic, where her dedication and caring spirit left a lasting impression on patients and colleagues alike.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Sandy found deep fulfillment in supporting her children and grandchildren in their sports and activities. She rarely missed a game, performance, or event, and being present for her family remained one of the most important parts of her life. She also enjoyed thrifting and reselling, taking genuine pleasure in discovering unique items and giving them new life, a hobby she loved sharing with others.

Sandy was previously married to Thomas Dorsey, with whom she had two children, Hayli and Luke. She later married David Marrone, and together they welcomed daughters Molly and Marissa. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, who filled her life with pride and happiness.

She is survived by her brother, Chris Lehman of Fisher; daughter Hayli Peterson of Henderson, Nev.; son, Luke (Andrea) Dorsey of Forsyth; daughter Molly Marrone (Beau Agnello) of Charlotte, N.C.; and daughter Marissa (Adam) Fichter of Ames, Iowa. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Reagen Thompson and Corridon and Kellan Peterson of Henderson; Jonathan, Julia and William Dorsey of Forsyth; Gus and Cy Agnello of Charlotte; and Corrine, Heaven and Claire Fichter of Ames. Sandy will be remembered for her deep love of family, her kindness, and the many cherished memories she created with those she held dear.
