Samuel "Sam" Smith

Samuel Smith was born on April 1, 1937, in Broxton, Georgia. A proud graduate of Georgia State University and a veteran of the Coast Guard, Sam built a successful career as a sharp businessman. His work led him on many adventures that he enjoyed sharing with his family for years afterward.

He was a devoted husband to Corrine, his wife of sixty-four years, and a loving father to his sons. Sam found great joy in playing golf, studying American history, and spending time with his grandchildren. Those who knew him will remember him as an intelligent and engaging soul.

Sam passed away on March 11, 2026, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Corrine, his sons, Shea (Amanda) and Clay (Tara), and his granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Abby, and Ella.
