In his life, Sam was surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren and cared for by his beautiful and compassionate daughter-in-law, Roxanna. Born on August 22, 1930, in Stamford, CT, to Frank Anthony and Rose Ferro, Sam lived a life marked by faith, family, and a deep love for his Lord and Savior. He walked faithfully with compassion and gratitude throughout the trials and tribulations of his life and is remembered for his sense of humor, gentle spirit, and servant's heart rooted in his faith. He loved his golf game and being with his family and friends. His enduring legacy will not be found in material achievements but through his faith and values imbued in his children and his unending love for his family.Sam served his country as a member of the CT National Guard during the Korean War and was privileged to be a member and officer of the American Legion in Rotonda West, FL.Sam is survived by his daughter Wendy Ferro Grant and her husband Howard; son, Sam Ferro Jr. and wife Roxanna; along with his grandchildren Sarah Grant, Frank and Jon Michael Ferro, Joshua, Matthias, Jordan, and Brittany Ferro; and his sisters Christine DeMaio, Mary Grace McMahon, and Ann Labozzo. Sam is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann, his son Frank Anthony Ferro, father and mother, Frank and Rose Ferro and his brothers Michael (Mickey) and Anthony (Chic) Ferro.A celebration of Sam's life will follow later in Stamford, CT.
