Brown Funeral Home, Inc. - Anderson on Mar. 13, 2026.Samara Leshawn Bennett, age 44, was born on Wednesday, February 24, 1982 in Anderson, South Carolina as the only child to Joe Allen Bennett and Janet Timpson Bennett. She went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 13, 2026.Samara joined Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church at a young age and participated in many ministries. Her favorite ministry was singing with the Gospel Chorus. She graduated from Westside High School, Class of 2000. She was a proud member of the school band. After graduation, she attended Greenville Technical College and Tri-County Technical College. Samara loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. She often tried new recipes for them to taste.Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of those around her and she will be truly missed. In addition to her parents, cousins, aunts, and uncles, Samara is survived by five godchildren: Jailyn Reardon Wilson, Daliyah Richardson, Ivyana Richardson, Daryll Baker, and Aliyah Sullivan.Samara was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe Timpson and Mary Louise Timpson, her paternal grandparents, Joe L. Bennett and Louise Bennett, and her loving great-grandparents.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 17, 2026 at Bethel A. M. E. Church. The interment will follow at Westview cemetery.
