Salvatore Albert Lanzilotta, Sr.

Salvatore Albert Lanzilotta, Sr., born July 5, 1934, in Inwood, New York, to Peter and Adeline Lanzilotta, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of Rachele for 70 years and the devoted father of Rocco, Salvatore Jr., and Linda. He is survived by his grandchildren Dominic, Nicholas and his wife Lizzie, and Jenner, as well as his great-grandchildren Logan and Rachele, affectionately known as Baby Rae.

Sal spent most of his life in Westbury, New York, where he and Rachele raised their family. A man of deep faith, he was a proud and active parishioner of St. Brigid Church, where he and his wife became pillars of the community. He was also deeply involved in many civic and fraternal organizations. After a career as a police officer, he remained a humble giver who found quiet joy in helping others without seeking recognition.

To those who knew him, Sal was genuine, determined, stubborn, funny, and endlessly reliable. A skilled handyman and loving patriarch, he cherished family above all. His home was always open, guided by his heartfelt belief that the first time you entered, you were a guest, but the second time, you were family. He will be remembered as a man who made everyone around him feel truly loved.
