Sally Jo Cox

Sally Jo Cox, age 85, of Brunswick, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Bellevue, Washington. Born on October 21, 1940, in Blackshear, Georgia, to Shular L. and Ellie Hendley Cox, she lived most of her life in Brunswick.

Throughout her long career in hospitality, Sally Jo was admired for her professionalism and her sincere care for others, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike. She found great joy in dancing and baking, activities that brought delight to her family and friends. A longtime member of the Pentecostals of Brunswick, she drew comfort and community from her faith.

Above all, Sally Jo cherished her time with family, especially her grandchildren, whose presence filled her days with laughter and love. Those moments together remain among the sweetest memories for all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Wesley Mitchell Cox, and her siblings Janette Aspinwall, Daisy Luke, and Robert Shannon Cox.

Sally is survived by her children, Richard Allen Cox and Sabrina Almasri, both of Brunswick; her siblings, Elaine (James) Branch and Shular (Cathy) Cox; her grandchildren, Allen (Jacy) Cox, Chelsea Holyfield, Mikey Holyfield, Briana Almasri, and Amira Almasri; and five great-grandchildren.
