Sadie Darlene Lefler, 89, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.
Mrs. Lefler was born September 1, 1936 in Concord, North Carolina to the late Lewis Whittington and the late Sadie Gertude Whittington.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter J. Lefler, Sr, sister Gaye Smith, son and daughter Cathy Gray, David L Lefler, Darla Gresham and 5 grandchildren.
Sadie loved knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, cooking and baking for her family and friends. She loved the lord, going to church and listening to gospel music. She also loved her family and friends dearly. She will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Monday, March 16, 2026 at New Hope Independent Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow, Monday at 12:00 pm at New Hope Independent Freewill Baptist Church and will be officiated by Rev. Roger Bostic at 555 Neisler Rd,Concord,NC, 28025. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.
Survivors include son, Walter Jackson (Pamela) Lefler, Jr. of Gold Hill, NC, Trina Renee Safrit of Concord, NC. Also surviving are, Brother Steve Whittington, 6 Grandchildren,17 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Child.
Memorials may be made to New Hope Independent Freewill Baptist Church.
