Westfield, ME
Sadie Billings, 80, of Westfield, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle following a courageous six-year battle with cancer.
Born on May 15, 1945, in St. John, Sadie was the daughter of Adrien and Delia (Caron) Pelletier. She graduated from Fort Kent High School and later married the love of her life, Albert Billings, who predeceased her in 2020.
Known for her strong work ethic, Sadie was employed at H. Smith Packing, Smith’s Truck Stop, and Porteous, where she took great pride in being the first person hired and the last to leave when the store closed. She loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy. Generous with her time, she volunteered readily to help friends, neighbors, and her community, particularly enjoying her many years helping organize the Westfield Jubilee. In her later years, she and Albert enjoyed camping at Camper’s Paradise in Westfield, where she formed lasting friendships she considered extended family. She was also a faithful member of the United Baptist Church in Westfield.
Sadie is survived by her children, Bruce Billings and his significant other Kerri Plourde of Presque Isle, Bryant and Melissa Billings of Seaford, Delaware, and Lynn and Shawn Dube of Westfield; her sisters Marcy Daigle of Fort Kent and Vivian and Howard Voisine of St. John; her brother Ben Pelletier and his significant other Jane Fletcher of Fairfield; and her in-laws Rickie and Peggy Billings of Presque Isle, Bonnie and Jim Kinney of Westfield, Paula and Dana Bell of Texas, and Karen Taylor of Presque Isle. She was a proud grandmother to Alexis, Duncan, Kaden, Kristen, Ellen, and Dacota, and a loving great-grandmother to Lincoln, Declan, Alex, Desmond, Robin, and Lilly. She will be fondly remembered by many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
