It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ryan Backer of Fishers, Indiana, who passed away on February 27, 2026, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Stephen Backer; his grandparents, Herbert, Shirley Backer, Joseph and Marjorie Barlow; his uncle Charles "Chuck" Barlow; and his pet Kona.

He is survived by: his wife Melissa Backer (Dyer); his sons, Hudson and Grayson; his mother Sally Palmer (Barlow); and his sister Jaime Miller (Brent Miller). He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary (12010 Allisonville Rd, Fishers, IN 46038). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
