Dobies Funeral Home & Crematory - Holiday on Mar. 13, 2026.Ruth Theresa Winchell-Zingerman, 92, currently of Palm Harbor, Florida, formerly of East Islip, New York, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends.Born in Manhattan, New York on November 7, 1933, Ruth lived a full and meaningful life as a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, dear sister, and beloved aunt. Known to many as Ruth, Mom, and Grammy, she was admired for her amazing faith, generous spirit, kindness, and deep love for her family and friends.Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.Ruth is survived by her children MarySue, Bobby, and Roger; her sister Bunny Lawson; her grandchildren Melissa, Michael, Jennifer, and Danny; and her beloved great-granddaughter Kayla. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.She was predeceased by her children Theresa, Mark, and Paul, and her grandson Billy.A service will be held at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church on March 28, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.Ruth's warmth, faith, and loving presence will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
