Ruth "Lola Lou" Quimzon Linzaga

Carson, CA

Ruth “Lola Lou” Quimzon Linzaga, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away after a life defined by love, faith, and deep devotion to family. Born on September 5, 1936, in Olongapo City, Philippines, to parents Simforoso and Quirina Quimzon, she grew up alongside her siblings Violeta De Guzman, Flor Poblete, Abner Quimzon, Israel Quimzon, and Bethzaida Domingo. She attended Jackson High School, where she formed lasting friendships, and on January 7, 1960, married the love of her life, Isagani “Sonny” Linzaga. Together they created a home rooted in love, faith, and commitment to one another and their children.

Ruth was a proud and devoted mother to Loida Linzaga Villavicencio, Ian and daughter-in-law Cheryl Sapida Linzaga, Ivan, and Phoebe. Though she endured the profound sorrow of losing her children Ivan and Phoebe at a young age, she remained a steady source of strength and love for her surviving family. In 1990, she moved to the United States and settled in Carson, California, where she continued to offer her warmth, generosity, and strong values to everyone around her.

A devoted Christian, Ruth found deep purpose in her faith. She was actively involved in her church, drawing great joy from worship, fellowship, and service, and was dearly loved by her church community. She also cherished her role as grandmother to Alyson Villavicencio, Jakob Linzaga, and Sofia Linzaga, who brought her immense happiness.

Ruth will be remembered for her kind heart, steadfast faith, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her memory will endure through the lives she touched and the love she so freely shared.
