She was born on April 2, 1945 in Lanao Del Norte, Philippines to Uldarico and Rosalita Dumayas. Ruth immigrated to the United States to pursue a career as a registered nurse. She was a highly respected surgical nurse at Stanford Hospital, often selected by surgeons for international medical missions, before retiring at age 68 to care for her grandchildren. A devoted mother and grandmother, Ruth was an avid world traveler, sports fan, and woman of faith who filled her life with adventure-from exploring Egyptian pyramids to Alaskan cruises.Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters. She is survived by her son David, daughter-in-law Nerrisa, four grandchildren, Amaya, David Jr., Naseir, and Zoelle, and a large extended family who will deeply miss her vibrant spirit.Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 30th at 10:00am at the Fremont Memorial Chapel located at 3723 Peralta Blvd, Fremont, CA 94536.
