Ruth Klatte

Ruth J. Klatte, 97, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Merry Heart Assisted Living in Randolph, New Jersey. A longtime resident of Randolph, she was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to the late Howard and Edith (Frymire) Smith.

Ruth was a devoted wife and mother, married for 73 years to her husband John. Together they raised six children and were especially dedicated to the care of their handicapped son Thomas. She found joy in decorating, gardening, visiting casinos, and hosting or attending garage sales.

She was predeceased by her husband John, sons Joseph and Thomas, brothers Edgar, Charles, and Richard, and sisters Helen, Kathleen, and Shirley. Ruth is survived by her children John D. and Sandra Klatte of Randolph, Mary and Robert Bauerlein of Randolph, Rita and Walter Roessler of Randolph, James and Diane Klatte of Colorado, and daughter-in-law Gale Klatte of Randolph, as well as nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Her family will cherish the many good times they shared with her.
