Ruth Helen "Locke" Lee

Ruth Helen Lee, 90, of Moberly, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Aspire Nursing and Rehab in Moberly. Born on April 24, 1935, in Delta, Missouri, to Cloyes and Inez (Morrison) Locke, she graduated from Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau in 1957 with a degree in Elementary Education and Art.

In 1964, Ruth married Robert “Bob” Lee, and together they raised their daughter, Nancy (Lee) Duncan. Ruth spent her career as a dedicated elementary school teacher for fifth and sixth grades in the Ferguson Florissant School District. After retiring, she and Bob spent 16 years traveling the country in their motorhome, proudly visiting 49 of the 50 states. She found quiet joy in assembling jigsaw puzzles and reading murder mysteries. Ruth was a longtime member of Carpenter Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Joe Locke, her husband Bob, and her daughter Nancy. Ruth is survived by her son-in-law Gary (Stacey) Duncan, her grandsons Matthew (Erin) Duncan and Andrew Duncan, and her great-granddaughters Carolyn and Emersyn Duncan, all of Moberly.
