Ruth E. (Jones) Trumbetta

Ruth E. (Jones) Trumbetta, 67, of Jeannette, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Born on October 13, 1958, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Ralph T. and Esther (Hollenberger) Jones. The oldest of six sisters, Ruth grew up on a dairy farm in the Mars area. She attended Butler County Community College and earned a bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris College. She went on to own Greengate Associates, a tax accounting firm she operated for many years.

Ruth shared more than 43 years of marriage with her husband, Donald Trumbetta. She is survived by her son, Thomas E. Trumbetta; her sisters, Esther Seebacher, Shirley Lawther, Rebecca Tyson, Janet Gitson, and Rosemarie Streb; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who brought her great joy.

She will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her devotion to family, and the steady, caring presence she offered to those who knew her.
