Ruth Davis

Ruth Davis, 91, of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away on March 6, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends. Her kindness, generous spirit, and deep capacity for love left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Born on May 28, 1934, in Augsburg, Germany, to Franz and Anna (Huber) Heinlin, Ruth worked as a weaver before immigrating to the United States after marrying her beloved husband, Ronald Davis. She remained proud of her German heritage and cherished the mementos that connected her to her roots.

Ruth devoted her life to her family, loving them deeply and finding joy in providing for their needs. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed reading mystery novels, crocheting special keepsakes for loved ones, and sharing her talents as a skilled baker and cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronald Davis. Ruth is survived by her children, Tina Zellers (BZ) and Michael Davis (Shelly); her siblings, Kurt Heinlin and Maria Heinlin; grandchildren Ross, Courtney, Cindy, and Bryan; and two great-grandchildren.
