Ruth Ann Wanlass

Ruth Ann Wanlass returned to live with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Born on January 24, 1955, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Fred K. Wanlass and Grace Millward Wanlass, she was the fourth of five children. She graduated from West High School in 1973 and trained as a medical assistant. Ruth spent her career as a phlebotomist with ARUP, where she found purpose in helping others. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many capacities, quietly blessing the lives of those around her.

Later in life, Ruth moved in with her aging parents, offering them devoted care and comfort. She was a loyal friend, a loving sister, and a cherished aunt whose presence brought warmth to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Dale Wanlass. Ruth is survived by her brother, Duane (Jake) Wanlass, and her sisters, ReNae (Jerry) Pearce and Sharla (Jerry) Savage.
