Ruth Ann Sullins

Ruth Ann Sullins (née Schenk) of Fenton passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on January 1, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Edward Schenk Jr. and Rose Schenk (née Dimariano).

Ruth was the devoted wife of 62 years to the late James A. Sullins Sr. She was a loving mother to James A. Sullins Jr., Brenda Sullins, and Michael (Susana) Sullins, and a dear sister to Jeanette Barbey. She was a proud grandmother to Barry (Amy) Sullins, Franklin Hadley, Matthew (Kendall) Knierim, and Heather (Zac) Link, a blessed great-grandmother to Bailey (Scott), Macey, Owen, Bren, and Roman, and a great-great-grandmother to Landon and Lyla. She was also a cherished mother-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Known for her caring and kind-hearted nature, Ruth loved her family above all else. She enjoyed watching movies, particularly mysteries, playing cards and games with her grandchildren, and sharing special moments watching wrestling with her grandson. An accomplished cook, she was famous for her spaghetti sauce, and she took great pleasure in gardening and dining out with family. She always ensured her loved ones were well fed and had a home. Ruth cherished memories of fishing trips with her husband and family at Table Rock Lake and treasured a special trip to New York with her daughter.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
