She and her husband, Robert “Bob” Parsley, shared 64 loving years of marriage until his passing in 2024. She and Bob were longtime members of First Baptist Church of Newark and later worshipped at Spring Hills Church in Granville.
For 44 years, Ruth Ann and Bob owned and operated the Granville Child Care Center and established several after-school programs in area school districts, nurturing generations of local children. She received the Granville School District’s 1995 Jody VanTine Outstanding Educator Award and was affectionately called “Granville’s Mom” by the Granville Sentinel in 2016.
