Ruthann Beck, 81, of Indian Land, South Carolina, formerly of Niagara Falls, New York, passed away peacefully at Agape Care Hospice House on March 14, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ruthann met her high school sweetheart, Ronald, and they married on August 14, 1964. Their loving partnership lasted nearly six decades. Together they owned and operated several businesses, including Beck’s Transmission and Niagara Frontier Services. Ruthann devoted fifty years to her career as a medical secretary in Niagara Falls, where her professionalism and steady presence supported numerous physicians. She was also certified by New York State and the Environmental Protection Agency in environmental business, reflecting her lifelong commitment to learning and service.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Ruthann lived with strength, kindness, and unwavering trust in God. Her beliefs guided her through life’s challenges with grace and brought comfort to everyone around her. She will be remembered for the quiet dignity and warmth she showed to all who knew her.
Ruthann is lovingly survived by her husband, Ronald; their three daughters, Dauna Burns, Karri Beck (Gary), and Anna Marie Forrest (Jack); eleven grandchildren, Jacqueline Crossman (Dillon), Kevin Paul Elledge, Jonathan Elledge, Nicholas Burns, Brittany Cramer (Erick), Alexis Nichols (Dave), Justin Nichols, Bianca Butera (James), Joey DeMunda, Chase Forrest, and Jason Forrest; and five great-grandchildren, Emma Cramer, Benjamin Cramer, Joseph Butera, Mia Butera, and Logan Haim. She is also survived by her brother, Lester Arthur (Kathy), as well as several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Marjorie Arthur, and her sister, Cynthia Lin.
